Katherena and Alan have been happily married for four years and appear to have the perfect dynamic. Alan stays at home while Katherena works all day as a busy midwife, despite ironically, having no maternal instincts. On their anniversary Alan throws a spanner into the works, stating that he wants a baby and admitting that he has been tainting the contraception. This leads to an ultimatum and Katherena decides to fight Alan’s baby craziness with something that does not just cross the line, but takes a scalpel and slices it up.
