Sex offenders are the new lepers, and the Palace Mobile Home Park in St. Petersburg, Florida, is a modern day leper colony. It’s here in this most unlikely of locations that a search for sanity begins. One by one, over 75 registered sex offenders come forward, not unlike the final call to be saved at the end of a week-long tent revival. For some, it’s a voice that they’ve been denied for most or all of their lives or a way to ask for forgiveness. For some, it’s yet another way to manipulate the system. Five agree to have their lives documented for three years. The outcomes are shocking, yet woven into the fabric of our lives. |
