Sam Pollard is an Academy Award nominated and multiple Emmy winning producer, director, and editor. His professional accomplishments span almost thirty years. He has directed and produced an accolade of noteworthy documentaries. But early in his career, Pollard faced many challenges and was even told he wouldn’t make it. In this revealing short, Mr. Pollard narrates his own story, speaking to the difficulties, influences, and achievements of his decades long career in the documentary film industry. This interview was done with Mr. Pollard at the Center for Documentary Studies in Durham, NC during the Full Frame Film Festival, 2013.
