Sraia is a young Chasid living in Vienna’s Jewish quarter. His passion revolves around baking, something he shares eternal love Rebecca. Nevertheless he is confronted with his fathers sickness and is torn between his dream of running Rebecca’s bakery whilst proving himself worthy to his intimidating father, Izra. Together with his friends Avi and Schmitz, he embarks on a small adventure into the world of money lending. Sraia tries to prove himself worthy in the face of a number of set backs - at the end of the day, he must ask himself if he can reconcile his father’s unforgiving expectations with his own ambitions, in world that proves to be confrontational for a shylock with the heart of a kegel baker.
