Mordecai and Muhammad, two religious extremists living in sunny Florida, are introduced to the Rapture, a Christian belief that the world will end with the return of Christ. Predicted by Evangelical Christians across the country to occur on December 25th, Christmas Day, 2011, the event would mark a literal end to all that Mordecai and Muhammad stand for. Convinced that their world is about to meet its end, the roommates decide to live out their final hours doing everything they’ve ever wanted to do but couldn’t in their respective religions. These adventures result in Muhammad’s death and a spiritual awakening in Mordecai. Following the misadventures, Mordecai returns home, newly converted to Christianity and awaiting his rapture. Unfortunately time passes on, leaving Mordecai (and the stripper he brought home) as a man who just sold out everything he believed in without due cause. |
