Details:

That’s pretty true, Greyfur. I think that era pretty much passed with the Creature from the Black Lagoon. Still,there has been a handful of movies that stuck to the original formula…”Shadow of the Vampire” being the first that comes to mind…

The third and final film with Boris Karloff portraying the Monster. The inside lighting and long shadows alone, imo, makes it one of the leading predecessors to the Film Noire genre
