Mrs. Chai, who immigrated to America about 40 years ago, lives by herself in Philadelphia. Chinese New Year is coming up in two days and Mrs. Chai’s elder son is coming to visit her. But he does not plan to stay for the holiday. He will fly out to San Francisco to visit his own family there before the New Year. A storm is coming to Philadelphia and the airport will probably be shut down. The son might stay for the New Year because of the severe weather. |
