A small town in Franconia is selected for the visit of an important politician because of its quietness so the last thing local police chief Fall needs is any sign of crime and/or scandal. A completely made-up story about the disappearance of the local millionaire Wahnfried von Walzer’s wife catches the interest of cop Detlev Murggs who dreams of being a big crime-stopping hero - after all, he finds a ring of the missing woman in his sandwich. With his new coworker, the attractive Vera Wunder, Murggs starts to investigate and despite not having any serious leads he starts to make certain people nervous… |
