The end of the Ottoman era.. Recai Bey has raised his daughter Seref like a man. She secretly attends the meetings of the patriots. Seref and her cousin Mujgan take music lessons from the journalist Feyyaz. Seref and Feyyaz fall in love but Mujgan is in love with Feyyaz as well. Feyyaz gets arrested in an assassination attempt against the Sultan. The only way for Seref to save his life is marrying the mighty Hasim, and so she does. Feyyaz marries Mujgan. Hasim feels the mutual attraction between Seref and Feyyaz, so he sends him on exile. One day, in a plot planned for Feyyaz, Hasim shoots Seref thinking it is Feyyaz. Seref dies and when Mujgan and Feyyaz have a son, they call him Seref. |
