Not knowing what to expect, Paschalis, a wide-eyed countryman with a heart of gold, arrives in bustling, faceless Athens to live with his first cousin, Manolis. Then, Manolis wins 500,000 drachmas in the lottery and decides to stash the money inside an inexpensive old armchair. However, their happiness is short-lived, as Paschalis, unaware of the worn-out recliner’s precious content, sells it to a junk dealer.
