This series entry begins in a laboratory, where Professor Jacobson conducts earthquake research. Using a scale model of a specially constructed skyscraper, he measures the effects of artificially induces tremors. We then get a look at some kitchen gadgets that were new in their day, including an electric coffee brewer and a waffle iron. Then it’s off to a factory that makes engines for model airplanes. The final stop is Rochester, New York, where the benefits of full-body radiography are demonstrated. |
