Nine is the story of Molly. Approaching middle-age, she is alone in an inner city bedsit with only her own invasive mind for company. Too delirious, too painful, too late; she can no longer cope. On the TV, all too familiar images flicker. We venture into Molly’s past. Flashes of the Australian Bush. Movement in dark corners. Her house of cards is threatened. Is it better to face the excruciating task of unraveling herself or to remain blissfully stuck in a never ending present? |
