Watched this movie years ago let’s see if it’s still as funny as I remember.
one of those movies with a thousand one liners…a classic
Can’t say enough awesome things about this movie. It’s from the often unheralded classic HBO sketch comedy series Mr. Show with Bob Odenkirk (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul) and David Cross (Arrested Development and The Chipmunk movies). This movie is based on a sketch they did about the character, Ronnie Dobbs. They did a total of about 3 sketches in the 4 season run of the show, and all the elements are included in the movie. Bob and David themselves said the film did not stack up to their own expectations, but it’s become quite the cult classic amongst Mr. Show fans, because it really is funny as hell!! Lots of cool cameo appearances. The pool party scene alone is worth waiting for just to see who pops up! Give this movie a go if you’re into absurdity on a Python-esque type of scale, but with a redneck/Hollywood touch…and if you’ve seen Mr. Show, but never this movie, you’re in for a treat! :)
Haha!! Just read the description of the movie up at the top after I wrote this, and saw it pretty much says exactly what I said about the movie…lol…guess I should be writing movie descriptions for iMDB, huh? Lol
