A young girl deals with an existential crisis, perhaps because her parents pay very little attention to her, or perhaps because she is too young to see a viable future for herself. Lucy Morlee explores what it means to be alive by reevaluating her life in her suicide note. Her nine-year-old naivete brings her to realize how worried she is about the possibility of failure in her future, causing her to continue having crisis after crisis on her front lawn. The film explores the human condition by showing how bluntly ridiculous self-judgment is and how from an outside perspective, we are all just young children wandering the planet having crises about things that have not yet occurred. |
