Details:

This film tells of the beginning of the cold war and Canada’s role in that. Particularly featured is the defection of the Soviet embassey clerk, Igor Gouzenko, who revealed the spy network which was operating in North America. Furthermore, the Canadian government’s response is discussed as it shifts from doubt to its overresponse leading to the violation of civl rights.
