“SubMAn,” a short film created in one week for the 168 Hour Film Project. Ryan Hobbs (Simone Leorin), stuck in a long term substitute teacher assignment, was once a dedicated, energetic teacher. Now he puts up with the daily rancor of disinterested students. His men’s group does little to help him cope with the loss of his career, his marriage, and now possibly his son. Due to staff limitations, he is left alone to supervise the students on an intern project, except for one young office administrator in training, Ms. Davis (Rachel Kevin). Suddenly, a disgruntled delivery driver (Dave Foubert) shows up demanding immediate attention! |
