A modern fairy tale about a heroin addict (Edward) who decides he needs to get off the streets and get some help. He seeks out an old high school friend (Stacy) who hasn’t seen him in two years and sympathizes with his problems taking him under her wing. While attempting to pawn stolen goods for drug money he meets his true love Lauryn, who works at the pawn shop. After this important meeting his life is changing against his will. Every moment spent with his new love interest he subconsciously begins to replace his need for heroin with love and compassion. Meanwhile Edward still owes money to a local crime king pin Leon who is searching for him. Making things more complicated for the life he is aspiring to create for himself. Stacy and her boyfriend Frank attempt to help by pushing Edward to get a job and helping him with date etiquette. Things come to a climactic spearhead when love and life are on the line between Lauryn and Leon.
