Galliard Films present a documentary that brings to life the intriguing men and women who lived at Bristol’s Red Lodge over a time span from 1580 to the 1920s. Some of them were in the direct employment of the reigning monarch of their time and others were key players in medical science, politics and social reform. The film features some friendly “ghosts” wearing sumptuous costumes and is set against the backdrop of one of the last surviving luxury Elizabethan domestic interiors in South West England. A film that will please anyone with an interest in Tudor buildings and in history. |
