No swimming in the Pond is a short film shoot in a C300. It has dramatic elements that mirror Agnes Varda Cleo from from 5 to 7, however, its absurdity and female presence resemble Vera Chytilova film Daisies. Surrealism is also prevalent in the story. Filmed in the parks, streets and local business of San Francisco, the story captures a melancholic atmosphere of the city, but it also depicts the picturesque elements of Upper Haight neighborhood, Cole Valley and Clement St. No swimming in the Pond portrays the story of an unsatisfied woman building herself up in a world of routine from which she is trying to escape. The work embraces female existence and bonding, as well as female strength for nurturing and healing.
