Marguerite is to be the bride in an amateur theatrical. Frank, whose offer of marriage she has refused, though he is her guardian’s choice, plays the bridegroom, while Tom, the favored one, is in the role of minister. Holden, a card sharp, schemes so that Tom appears in a bad light when he fails to arrival at the rehearsal, and Marguerite, hurt, consents to Frank’s request, “Let’s get a real minister and be married now.” Tom succeeds in escaping from Holden’s accomplices and reaches the scene in time to foil the tricksters. |
