Women faces many kind of oppression. Cutting (parts of) female genitals is known to be one of the worst. Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) is a crime at least this how the United nation and majority of experts regard it. From 2005 to 2007, in Garmian region in Iraqi Kurdistan, women broke the taboo of being silence and began to speak about their experiences. This is their story. |
