Well, I thought this was very entertaining; especially the first and last thirds of the movie. I actually like watching cam versions sometimes because I can hear the in-theatre audience reacting, and boy, did they react to things in this movie. Thor Ragnarok cam version was another movie that I actually enjoyed watching. The ending was fantastic to this, and it was nice to see the real Sharon Tate in the scene in the movie with Dean Martin when the character, Sharon Tate, goes to the cinema to watch herself in that movie. Her murder happened 2 days after my 4th birthday, and I happened to overhear my parents talking about it, and I can’t forget it. The costumes, sets, and hairstyles were very accurate, and it was also bittersweet seeing the late Luke Perry. The Steve McQueen cameo by Damian Lewis was terrible, and they should’ve actually just left his hair alone instead of pouffing it up ridiculously like they did. He did a terrible impression of McQueen, and his lines were stupid. Brad Pitt and Leo DiCaprio had great chemistry, but sometimes the pit bull stole the show, lol. Especially at the end! Thank you SO much, uploaders. I was looking forward to this.
Gotta say this is a very different kind of Tarantino film. None the less a great one at that. And will have you go WHAT ! HOLY HELL !!! hehe Afterwards it wanted me to watch Pulp Fiction actually. Worth a second watch for sure ! 8/10

This movie profoundly affected me as did the [SPOILER] in my youth. You most certainly have to be from that era to even begin to understand this movie. The entire show was a set up for the grand final and was done with absolute excellence.

Super good! First hour in a half I didn’t know what the hell I was watching but it really got going after that. Very Inglorious Basterds-ish ending with the alternate history. But hell if that isn’t the way I wish it really turned out.
I was 16 in 1969 and remember all too well the events that took place. This is a very special movie and it touched me. Leonardo and Brad P outdid themselves in this fantasy film. I loved it.
so damn happy seeing Tarantino still makeing movies . this one im haveing some difficulty getting throu.. none of the characters got any hmm Spark ? not sure where this story is at and why.. dont see anything really its a mess . Thx for links
actually that was his og plan but has not formally addressed that recently. He has been working on an R rated Star Trek flick for two years and if that gets to go ahead the that would be number ten. Hard to imagine him ending his career with somthing so off brand for him. Though I would love to see his vision for it.
lol, welcome to Prime Wire. I post a truly helpful comment and get a down vote. I guess I pissed some one off months back but couldn’t begin to say who. So instead of sending a PM I get these passive aggressive down votes. No biggie really but kinda sucks when ur only trying to helpful. And R rated Star Trek…I’m sold.
Nah he addressed it recently people are constantly asking him about it. Hes still only writing/directing 10 movies, But he said hes going to continue writing screenplays/movies/books just not directing. also they got someone else to do the new Star Trek, maybe years down the road we might see a Tarantino Screenplay adapted but I doubt it anytime soon.
I Know he’s not doing the next Star Trek, it’s number for in the “Pineverse” with mostly the same cast. He had stated early in the press run for Once upon a Time that he was working on an R Rated Star trek script, It’s own story. And was reading yesterday in an article about the forth film in JJ’s reboot and it mentioned Tarintino’s project and that he had been working on it for 2 years. Tbh, I don’t even know if he’s had talks with the studio or what. It’s just a passion project right now and could end up a Trival Pursuit question. My fingers are crossed if only cause its so far out of his wheelhouse, professionally.but yeah, no time soon cause brand confusion. and if 10 is it for him he’s not borrowing an IP for his final, which is why I think he may make an execption if he gets a green light on it in a few years, assuming he’s already made 10.
It’s known as the “Tate / LaBianca murders.” But since the LaBiancas weren’t featured, I shortened it. Manson also never murdered anyone. Thanks for your valuable insight, though.
This was interesting. The hollywood 60’s vibe was fun for sure. Brad Pitt was fantastic especially with the end scene! Decaprio was great as usual too. A lot of other very cool actors too in random parts. While this wouldn’t be in my top Tarantino movies it was definitely a fun watch with some great acting. I thought the Charles Manson story line would be more prevalent but they still did a cool job and the alternate history was pretty epic. 8/10
Quentin Tarantino is one awesome motherfucker!!!!! refusing to bow before the Chinese Government and cut his Film from them!!!! and he refuses to bow before the left and be PC. i can’t tell you how much a inspiration this man is to me :) as soon as a decent copy is available i’m watching.
I love how you don’t know what the movie is truly about till the end credits. Great job Mr. Tarantino. All the actors were great, especially Brad Pitt.
Many thanks to the uploader(s) … I’ve been eagerly awaiting this one for some time. I’m not entirely sure it would make the top half of my favorite QT movie list, especially if we’re including True Romance, but it’s a very solid film in its own right. Brad Pitt carried it handily and DiCaprio’s punctuation took it to another level. The casting and soundtrack were solid, as they tend to be but I’ve noticed his pacing fall a bit short as of late. Meaning his last, say, three films. ‘A bit long’ is a very diplomatic way of putting it. He could have easily shaved half an hour off, but what can you do… Tarantino gonna’ Tarantino. Dirty-foot fetish and all.
Regardless of how you feel about the runtime, the last fifteen minutes make the entire ride worth it. That was a take on on the Manson family that only he could deliver.
I can see this resulting in a mixed bag of opinions, but overall I’d turn in a 6.5-7/10.
To be perfectly honest… it is HEAVILY Overrated. This is a 2 hour 40 minute movie; and at a minimum 1 hour & 20 minutes of it is utterly boring; which is really saying something for a QT movie. The first few minutes were great; then about 50 minutes of pure boring drivel. Literal scenes of a movie within a movie that are just drags & drags. No humor; just lines. Then it gets interesting…for about another 10 minutes. Then another 30 minutes of nonsense. Then about at the 1.45 hour mark it gets good & really never lets up from there. Leaves on a high note that holds for almost a hour so feels like you watched a GREAT Movie. No. I didnt forget about the first 60% of this movie I watched. It was a solid 6/10. Absolutely no better. Tarantinos Four Rooms, Res Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Natural Born Killers, & True Romance made these seem like the work of a amateur. Not the same man. Good grief, django & unglorious too. I mean hateful eight guess could be compared, with the slow buildup to the climax; but hateful eight had the trademark Tarantino dialogue.
Now I realize it. THATS what was missing. The crazy * QT dialog. Where was it?!
We know Pitt’s up for the craziness. Hell he was hilarious in one of his first roles in the True Romance. And Burn After Readings a great example hes down to clown.
It was like… my aunt cooks the most amazing sugar cream pie every holiday. Homemade recipe from her mother passed down. Like 3 pies made every year. Nothing goes home, 5+ other kinds of pie always ; with pieces left; people fighting over the SC. Then she gives the recipe to my other aunt. Its still great. But its just not the same flavor. Somethings missing.
Definitely a fictionalized account of what happened that night. Unbelievable. The only good thing about this is the original Sharon Tate. I’ve studied those murders, and I don’t recommend it. The costuming is good. That’s it. Don’t watch.
Awesome flick. I’m going to be sad when Q.T. does his next film and then retires. The only way I can describe this is that it’s like a well done period true-crime piece meets a 90’s Marvel “What If?” comic. That Bruce Lee scene! I was rollin’ so hard! Such a good climax and outtro. Thoroughly enjoyed, and I’ll be adding the BluRay to my collection for certain!
Tarantino only directed the Fourth Room in “Four Rooms” the movie is directed by 4 different people each getting their own room(short story) to direct and he did a remake of a Alfred Hitchcock short story. But none the less it is a fantastic movie, I try to watch it every New Years.
Close. Four Rooms was actually loosely based on short stories written by Roald Dahl, who died in 1990. Tarantino’s room was based on The Man From The South. Alfred Hitchcock Presents, the tv show, also made two episodes based on that story, as discussed by Bruce Willis in the room (though he called it The Man From Rio for some reason.)
This is Brad Pitts movie and he was funny as hell. Loved it will watch it a billion more times.

My favorite movie ever.
Really good movie, especially the ending…….
Remember the title ONCE UPON A TIME…It’s a fairy tale, the naysayers that downgrade it because of its fiction? Idiots.
Gotta say this is a very different kind of Tarantino film. None the less a great one at that. And will have you go WHAT ! HOLY HELL !!! hehe Afterwards it wanted me to watch Pulp Fiction actually. Worth a second watch for sure ! 8/10

If his interpretation of Star Trek is as interesting as his interpretation of the Tate murders, I’m on board.
Also, who down-votes something like, ‘allegedly this is his last’?
Some people on here are cunts. It’s like Reddit without the wit.

Nope. Its actually known as the Manson family massacre but I shortened to Manson murders. But thanks for playing along.
You’re adorable.

I agree Jenny, I had a really hard time getting through this movie. I was disappointed and that is an understatement.

I thought the same. Not his best.. If you get a chance watch his movie Four Rooms, The ending is a crack-up as well as the rest….Cheers, Randall….
