Saw this movie in the theater at 16 and then I didnāt sleep well for days because of the nightmares I was having. See kiddies nothing like this had ever been made. I mean the Exorcist had been released but the horror aspect being injected in to my favorite genre was way more than I expected. I was expecting Luke Skywalker to kick the bad guys butts. Instead I got Ripley showing me that girls were bad asses as well. So when Brie Larson wants to go on about needing girl heroās too. All I can say is that she is about 40 years to late on that subject.

Never realized till I was older just how much scarier the ācompanyā (Wayland Corp.)was in these movies than any of the Aliens! I mean just watching the synthetic in this original is terrifying! āā¦MOTHER!!??ā COUNTDOWN TEE MINUS.. āMOTHER..!!ā
Hell Yeah, Saw this when I was a boy sneaked downstairs in the middle of the night and had to creep up behind the couch and sit quiet watching on HBO in secret (Or so I thought lol) I was a ninja until I started screaming and had nightmares for months, even though it was terrifying I couldnāt look away. Became my favorite Movie of all time since thenā¦Long Live the Xenomorphs!
This movie was my first āRā rated movie. When the alien burst through his chest, I almost crawled into my boyfriends lap! I suppressed a scream but many others in the theater didnāt. Then I kept muttering, āLeave the damn cat and just go!ā
agree with all the comments and to add my own this generation think they know it all, Iām so glad i lived in the 80,s they have no idea the fun we had and the movies were so much better nowadays they are all the same no imagination what so ever it seems they want to make remakes of classics just look at what they did recently with the exorcist, this was a true gem when it came out no nightmares for me though,
Will SOMEONE, ANYONEā¦ PLEEEeeeaseā¦ make an ACTUAL Video-Game Homage to this ingenious film!? I mean, this came out before āSurround Sound [for movies at home],ā even existed. Butā¦ listen to it. Before āDolby,ā weād use a hopped-up version of Mono, in order to achieve a āSimulated-Surroundā effect. But, you kinda had to be a little Tech-Savy, to pull that off. You, basically had to Jimmy-Rigā¦ and Tweek your set-up. To get the most of it, anyway. I meanā¦ even when āDolbyā did show upā¦ you still had to tune your Stereoās radio to a certain station (to make it Dolby). Theyād run a synced broadcast of the Sound-Tracks. This was a good flickā¦ to see in a āDrive-In,ā with your girl. Definitely with a few pre-rolls, and some beers/sodas/munchies. I definitely got laid during this one! 10/5āØšš And, the story? Fu%king brilliant! Especially back then. Bellisimo!
I, especially love the repetitive Modem-Handshake sound. That was (Symbolically) the pinnacle of Quasi-Remote tech, back then. Always transports me backā¦ to my Single-Digit years. AHhhhhhhhā¦ā¦ when life was much simpler. Before āInfo-Overloadā gave the entire Human race A.D.H.D. (whatever the Fu%k that is!?). I call it āAllergic Reaction to Bullshit: Disorder.ā
