I Dreamed About Pol Pot (2009)

Gunar Bertram visited Cambodia in 1978 which then was governed by one of the most terror filled regimes in the 20Th century. He was invited especially to show the world that Pol Pot vision of the perfect society was true and to belie all reports seeping out of refugee camps. In the national TV news as well as in printed media he denied refuges stories of torture, starvation and genocide. Gunar returns now to Cambodia after thirty years, to find a country dealing with the aftermath of genocide.
