Hustler and bottom-rung drug dealer ERIK COYLE, 19, is two weeks sober and has just secured an early release from prison by providing incriminating evidence on mid-level drug dealer BENNIE, 50. He reconnects with his girlfriend HEATHER, 19, and his most consistent client, TOMMY, 40, both also newly sober. He manipulates Tommy for money and avoids Bennie, aching to live just a moment of his idea of family- a place of his own with Heather and his aging golden retriever, Merlyn. Things come crashing down as he knew they would, but not before he performs one last heroic act. |
