Why meth? If we are using the holy water for the bong, why not use a real good chemical..somethjng that if we get the right crowd, lighting, background noise..yea..lets trip!drip the LS right from owlsly stans shit..into kur eyeballs..faster into the brain.k..and blotter 4 munchies!ignore those bears..damn disco dancing bears!
Ok. Seriously. I rember they gave it an x rating..then i guess they took the batteries out of that āitemā she was using below and between to bait and now the R rating had lines around the movie theatre.. BEFORE THE WAIT FOR STAR WARS..THE WAIT FOR PROJECTILE VOMIT HAD THE MOST INTENSE REPUTATION every day it was sold out 3 screenings in advance.buy tickets at noon for the last showing that night! And it didnāt even have ā sensoround
this must be a directors cut as there are scenes in this copy Iāve never seen before and Iāve watch this many a time. Although it has been many years
There are 2 versions: The theatrical version and the āversion you have never seen beforeāā¦which includes the famous staircase scene, extended opening and a few more.
This is a movie right here, that f*ed me up for years. I STILL canāt watch that famous scene in the staircase. It freaks me out, till this day. A classic that traumatized a generation. Worth watching.
I did not watch this movie and still have not watched it. Iām not keen on satanic movies. I was in junior high when it came out and every time the theme song came on the radio I would freak out. I would have to get up and get my bible and sleep clutching it all night. Yes, it did traumatized a generation but Iām not going to watch it anytime soon. Iām in my early 60ās and Iāve watched a lot of different genres but draw the line on satanic movies/tv shows. Linda Blairās career seemed short lived to meā¦..gives a person some thought.

Brainwashed zombies cannot be reasoned with. For them, if itās not xtian, then it belongs to their fake fairytale imaginary devil. Fewer things make them more angry than when you donāt believe in their devil worship. If you donāt - then thatās also the devil. Everything that disagrees with them is the devil. Their minds are closed & cannot be changed. Same goes with satan people. They get pretty fed up with people who donāt believe in a fake imaginary jesus. Thatās all they are. Ticked off xtians who cannot let go of their imaginary fake beliefs. May as well have a conversation with a box of doorknobs.
Itās just a shame. All of that suffering Reagan went through could have been avoided by simply putting a statue of Lamashta at the foot of her bed. And there would have been nothing to worry about because Reagan was past the age where Lamashta would have also been interested in stealing her. But then we wouldnāt have gotten 3 books, 4 movies and a reboot in the make. lol
I guess but, as a stereotypical scorpio, itās not really like me to forget something that made me mad. Either Iām growing as a person or I got over it when CBS released Evil in 2019. The latter is more probable. lol But there is an outsize number of shows worth keeping track of these days. That prolly factors in, too. But Geena Davis was amazeballs in that show. We donāt get to see much of her anymore.
I agree with you Piglet. I was in my early 20s when this horrible movie came out. Before I loved scary movies, that is what they were called back then and I just had to watch itā¦ That was the last for me. The lord told me in my spirit these things really happen and not to watch them. I never did again.

The Original release of The Exorcist was December 26th 1973, It was controversial from the start, unlike any motion picture before or sense. In essence it was a once in a life time experience. The original film in all of itās terrifying glory has not been shown since 1974. I keep trying to explain to true movie buffs that the versions they have been airing in the last 20 to 30 years is not the Original. I donāt say this to bash a great movie that was once a masterwork, I point this out so that maybe one day I will see the true Masterwork once again. I donāt think we ever will, due to the fact that the only people who know the truth are the ones that ran screaming from the theater on December 26th 1973. Another switch that Friedkin pulled was that, it was not Burke Dennings Regan(The Demon) threw out her window but the Astronaut that she looked at before pissing the carpet and said, Youāre gonna die up there! She didnāt mean in space, she meant up in her room. If You recall Burke had already left the party. I saw Regan float over, turn his head around then toss him out her window. When Billy chopped up his masterwork Blatty did not speak to him for 2 years.
Requiescat in pace William Friedkin, you were a true craftsman and a pioneer š#Sorcerer #Rampage #Exorcist #FrenchConnection #Cruising
One of the last greats. All are trash now.
What a mind that was able to create this fresh hell. RIP, indeed.

Itās not Satanic at all. Itās Chaldean.

Not to mention the series

Loved that series. Was so sad it was canceled.
Iām surprised I forgot about that given how mad I was when Disney gave it the axe post-buyout.
Nobodyās perfect.
