A particularly good educational film, picturing this industry from the time the crabs are caught until they are all snugly packed in cans ready to be shipped. It shows the fishermen’s boats leaving the shore and the men halting their lines and casting them into the water; the drawing in of the lines; the final return of the well-filled boats; the shoveling of the crabs into large trucks and thence into huge vats, where they are cooked: the separating of the meat from the shells; the canning and labeling of the tins; the packing of the clean shells into boxes all ready for shipment. |
