BAG is a social realism film set in the North-East England town of Washington, Upon Tyne and follows Ben, a fifteen-year-old lad who gets his bag stolen by a local bully on his way home from school. Ben is just becoming aware of the political and financial troubles that surround him as a teen growing up in a working-class environment. Not wanting to add any more pressure on to his Mam’s shoulders, he enlists the help of his older brother, Joe, who has just been fired from his job on the production lines at Nissan, to get his bag back.
