The documentary shows the public and private aspects of Franco Buffoni’s life. The focus of the film is the agenda of the poet, engaged in conferences and readings throughout Italy. His role as public figure is important in order to frame him inside the contemporary political-cultural milieu: not only one of the nowadays greatest poets in Italy, but an important civil-rights activist, intellectually engaged in the analysis of the present. The value of Buffoni’s poetic work stands out the relationship with his places, his native Gallarate and Rome, and the use of archival material belonging to the poet. |
