Trindade hears the echoes of slavery since her childhood. Nowadays, she is the one singing. Trindade tell us her life story of abuse, alcoholism, faith and power. Slavery is the historical event that most defines what Brazil has become. Today we are suffering an attempt to erase and reconstruct this history to perpetuate oppression and inequality present in our society. In doing so, they try to maintain the privileges of those who have always been in power. “Trindade” pulsates resistance, power, and counter-coup. |
