WOW !!! when I seen this pop up I thought a new add on series :) well was I disappointed LOL Thanks you had me energized :)
This show is extra cheesey and at first I couldn’t put my finger on it then when I realized Amanda Tapping was also responsible for Stargate series (never touched it never will but saw clips here and there throughout the years channel surfing), it all made sense, the bad production, the horrible choreography and practical effects, the cringey romance’s and over acted facial expressions, all traits of Stargate which has prevented me from watching it thus far, but this, I don’t know, it ain’t bad, but it’s nowhere near the wheelhouse of other shows like Grimm, Outcast, Fringe, Supernatural.
Topic adjacent: She seems like a real nice lady Amanda Tapping, I met her briefly when she was in New Zealand. She liked my t-shirt. It had ‘Show us your Tats’ across it and a Tattooed pin up chick.
The only thing that drove me nuts with this show is Will always standing there with his mouth hanging open.
I haven’t seen the actor in anything else so maybe he has a medical condition, which wouldn’t be his fault. But it still annoys the hell out of me. As for Stargate, she didn’t direct any of the shows, but she was good in them - without the British accent.
I thought I was the only one that thought this, hence my comment about the facial expressions.
Haven’t watch anything with Amanda Tapping since Emilie Ullerup was cut from Sanctuary. Yeah, I hold a grudge! Whether Tapping’s jealousy over Emilie’s popularity caused Ullerup’s departure is up for debate, but with Tapping’s power with the network, she could have saved her. Will never watch anything associated with Tapping again.
