A darkly hilarious film. My favorite movie of the year and possibly a spot in my top 10 of all time (another viewing or 2 will see if it stands the test of time). As I’ve gotten older and less sociable I’ve wondered if something might be wrong with me, but I’ve come to understand that as my time grows less I’m more concerned with making it count and after watching this I now suspect that I’ve Irish blood in me. That would explain so much.

To say this a strange story is an understatement. There are some funny moments, punctuated by the guy laughing in the audience. But as the story progresses, I find it more horrifying then anything else. All the while the cast is surrounded by magnificent scenery, they they are finding ways to be hurtful to themselves and others. Being the animal lover that I am I was not please what finally brought this story to a conclusion. It is well done and the acting is flawless.
The most depressing/disturbing film since The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds. And that was a Paul Newman film, He’s been dead for years. Man… don’t kill animals to make a point. Super F’d up.
I liked the absurd story and dark humor, the dialogue is funny as well. The subtitles helped. Overall it’s a well directed comedy/drama with good cinematography.
These two together! yay! looking forward to this
Me too! They were on the last Graham Norton show discussing the movie, the two actors are great, really complement each other.

Thanks, good review. I will wait till the laughing guy leaves the theater.
He had a great laugh though!

I’m not sure about this one. I do like both actors though……I’ll have to think about it.
