I’m going to be honest about this. I was kinda disappointed in this. Not knocking it really, it was a decent watch, certainly, but truth be told, I’m just saying that it didn’t live up to all the expectations that it was hyped up to be.
I saw a lot of stuff where Pitt got into all these Jackie Chan movies and Documentaries and so on to try and get a lot of the fight scenes like the ones Jackie used to do, and I didn’t see much of that really, except in one scene, and that was kinda short, and not much like what Jackie used to do.
The rest of the movie was worth watching, but everything I read about it made it seem like it was going to be this really spectacular big deal movie, to top all other assassin movies ever, and clearly, this was not it.
Not saying it was not worth a watch, it was, just that it didn’t live up to the hype, and if Pitt was trying to emulate Jackie Chan in any way, then it was an epic fail on his part.
Was still better then a lot of the stuff they are cranking out these days, and I hope it does well in the movie house.
It’s a fun watch but it’s certainly not a classic of modern action movies like John Wick and Deadpool. Kind of a cartoonish story and characters, especially the antagonists. Lemon and Tangerine were the most fun to watch but other than that I’m sure I’ll soon forget about it.
Stupidly funny & action-packed everything-that-can-go-wrong-will-go-wrong-&-still-work-out-in-the-end kinda movie. If I hadn’t known better, I’d say Guy Ritchie had a hand in this. Really wished that, Ryan Reynolds’ role was a bit bigger.
Just watched the trailer and I didn’t realize Brad Pitt was in this movie. I agree that it is over the top and a bit silly but still has tweaked my interest and I will be watching it.

it’s a serious let down. Brian Tyrie’s character & his brother are the part of the movie that truly shined.
Reading that Brad Pitt may have wanted to pay homage to Jackie Chan fight scenes, though? I. Just. Didn’t. See. Anything. Like. That. From him. Might as well hired random people off the street do the fight scenes, as they would have embodied more of the Jackie Chan spirit, even if you didn’t tell them what the purpose was.
Also, what is with Hollywood’s obsession with pseudo-Asian movies? It seems lazy, disingenuous, or moderately insulting (but if Asian people don’t gaf, whatever. Not my hill).
Hollywood pitch: “OK, so it’s the Japanese Bullet Train, right? and everyone wants the briefcase. But Brad Pitt doesn’t wanna have to get the briefcase…”
Exec: “Classic! This’ll make us 200 mil. EASY But…. What about the mask issue? Everyone in public, in Japan, wears masks.”
Pitch: This is Hollywood, baby! Brad Pitt doesn’t wear a mask!”
Super Silly, Super Serious, Super Entertaining! I don’t understand people who think cinema is for anything more than a momentary distraction from what is really important (rl) but hey, to each their own.
Okay best movie I’ve seen in a while ! I was laughing so much it hurt haha and the action was really good too and it surprised me with a great story at the end too. Going to watch it again ! <3 A good thing I used to live in Tokyo hehe , my ride on Shinkansen was a bit more relaxed lol xD

You pretty much nailed it right there. Especially that last line..💪
That was intense. Over the top action and a bit on the silly side, but still lots of fun.

Verry well done , something like Kill bill but on a train and a few more twists and turns

And the crime boss was Russian.
But it was a fun watch and that was all I was expecting.
