With Georg and Christine Fischer, a well-known couple as mayor and school director, the air is gone after 40 years of married life. Still, it would not occur to him that there might be someone else for her. Ironically, on the day of Georg’s retirement, Christine receives a lush bouquet of red roses with a romantic dedication from a mysterious “A.” sent. It doesn’t take long for Georg to meet the admirer: It is his personal supervisor Alex from the posh spa clinic where Georg is supposed to give up smoking. Soon Alex willingly lets Georg, who does not reveal himself as a horned husband, in his courtship: He sees what a wonderful woman Christine is and what she has been missing in marriage for a long time. Alex believes the unsuspecting husband, who has long neglected Christine’s needs, is in a lost position. But Georg doesn’t give up that easily. After all, his rival gave him helpful tips on how to win back his wife with fresh ideas. After initial successes, however, there were severe setbacks that hit Georg hard. Because Christine, who initially imagined it differently with the admirer, is now really blossoming.
