Every year, 15-year-old Alya celebrates her birthday with her mother, Aini, who works hard to provide Alya with a comfortable life ever since her father passed away when she was only eight. Alya and her two best friends, Daniel and Elly, grow up together in the same neighbourhood. Unfortunately, peace in the neighbourhood is often disturbed by the troublemakers Apai, Luk and Remy. They are always harassing the students who have their meals in the area, including Alya. One day, a fight erupts when Apai touches Alya, causing her to lose her patience and throw a bowl of hot soup at him. Later while waiting for the bus, Alya is attacked by Apai and his friends. They drag her away to an abandoned building and raped her. Aini is shocked after learning of the incident but she tries to hide her emotions and stay strong for her traumatised daughter. Seeing her mother’s struggles, Alya decides she must rise again and try to forget what happened. |
