Being a huge fan of the craft in 1996

Not a great sequel and really fell off in the last half. Everything else felt very CW like a grown person writing how they think teenagers would be like these days. I did appreciate the small cameo at the end though.
I loved it, but it feels like not enough happened in this sequel compared to the original. Kinda felt like the pilot of a series, like more is going to happen, but we give you a pre-taste now. That’s what it felt to me, just not long enough. But it was good, don’t get me wrong. With a nice twist to it. I just wish they would’ve given us more

I don’t think many people could have taken much more, how much more of these girl groups who want to play with magic are totally inept until the chosen or the third or the forth show up then their able to wheeled absolute power, a few cheesy how to books common there printed in the millions I would just rather watch a movie that was a bit more balanced and that shows there is quite a bit more to it, than getting the band together and looking at useless books oh nearly forgot and burning lots and lots of candles.
The original was a lot better. I know people always say that but its true. This one was okay but the ending was meh. It was just a one-time watch for me. Enjoy!

Mediocre sequel at best, very different tone than the first. I’d recommend the Secret Circle tv series if you want something similar to the original Craft. Salem is also a very good witch craft series as well.
Only finished it because of David Duchovny. Entertainable but NOTHING like the 1st one. To me the 1st one was darker. Worth a 1 time watch. Not the worst ive seen this year. 3.5/5
Only watched this because Fairuza Balk was listed as being in it. She had less screen time than Luke Skywalker on Star Wars The Force Awakens. Really disappointed. If, they made another one following on from this, where she plays a bigger role, i’d watch it, but this was pretty terrible. Would be good if they brought back Robin Tunney, Neve Campbell and Rachel True to reform the covent, with Nancy (Fairuza’s character) wanting to make ammends and live a life not stuck in an institution, and travel back in time to have a chat with herself and sort herself out, then come back to present day where she has a life with her daughter. I’d happily write a script if someone said they would commission it.
Was the original even that good? I remember when it came out and even as young person, it looked like a ‘B’ movie. It starts off like your typical film and pays homage to the original in a few subtle ways. Halfway through, it falls apart and you’re wondering whats happened. Nothing of great concern happens really. The editing was uneven and the ending was just lackluster. I think it really comes down to the direction, if there was any to begin with. Not recommended.
Pretty good sequel to the first. Not great, but a fair bit better than average.
Although it falls short in the originality department (like all sequels) it is still an enjoyable ride.

Like the first movie, this has a lot to do with the abuse of power and how everyone is susceptible to it, No matter what side of an issue you might currently reside upon. Humans = flawed beings, whoda guessed?
Good acting and a definitive contrast between good guy/bad guy helps to mitigate a lot of low budget, poor storytelling and editing issues some people might have.

This was ok, not what I was hoping it’d be.. It’s alright for a one time watch, but if you’re expecting the drama, acting and glitz of the first, this movie missed that mark. There was a lot they could have done to boost this movie, and sadly, they just didn’t. Not saying it was a terrible movie… just not what it could have been.

Personally I think this was terrible. The acting was below par and the original was much better. For some reason, remakes are always of films that do not need to be remade. Why is that? I can think of loads of films that could do with a newer, fresher look. The Fly would be a good one. The 80’s version was a remake but this is a film that could definitely do with a make over. “The Craft” however,did not need it at all so naturally it fell short in every way.Stick to the original.The soundtrack in the original is great too.
I’m 30 minutes in and I like it alot I remember the original when I was teen but I don’t compare sequels to the original unless it has all the original cast but this one was in it’s own lane
