Man… I love Joaquin Phoenix’s role choices, and his acting. This movie… actually, really reminds me of Clint Eastwood’s style of direction. The music, reminds me of his directing debut, “Unforgiven.” This is one of the only other films which I would place in the same class, as that movie. Alongside “Dead Man,” of course, and “Once upon a Time in The West.” And… pretty much every other Western, Clint was in. I know I’m forgetting one film, though.
Anyway… I give it a 6/5✨ rating!👍Unbelievably GReeeEAT! Very realistically rendered! I want a sequel! 😎
Actually, a well acted western.
Agreed, Tiger! Under the alternate title of The Sisters Brothers, this is a good old-fashioned western told in a slow yet steady pace, with gunmen, brothels, chasing, gold and whiskey. Along with the chemistry of actors portraying the brothers, this film is also peppered with a well-seasoned cast, which suits the rich flavor of this story.
Damn good western and John C. Reilly, never seen him in a serious role that was so believable. Great acting ! And Joaquin Phoenix amazing acting as always. Great Western! Highly recommend this one :D
I’ll bet Jake was missing the hot, wet loving from Heath. Gyllenhaal sure is good at westerns.
