A seven-year-old girl, Chloe, who lives with her father, was told that the outside world was dangerous and was spending lonely days in her house. One day, she left the house while her father was asleep, and she was approached by an old man in an ice cream truck standing in front of her house. The old man, who is Chloe’s grandfather, tells her about the fact that Chloe’s mother is alive and the mysterious power she has. Chloe, who was scolded by her father for going out, awakened her special ability by raising her emotions. The ability was a very dangerous thing to manipulate a person’s mind. Chloe works with a grandfather and a father with different abilities to rescue a detained mother. |

I hadn’t heard of this, but it was quite good. I can see why people are comparing Lexy to Drew Barrymore. I thought of Firestarter several times. Amanda Crew is a high school friend of my goddaughter, who lived with us for some time. I’m glad I gave this a shot, and thank you, uploaders for the streamplay link.
I really enjoyed that! The synopsis really doesn’t do it justice, but any more info would ruin the fun. Lexy Kolker is a wonderful actress and very reminiscent of a young Drew Barrymore, with the same natural talent in front of the camera. Definitely worth a watch.
Thanks PW team :)
This was really good, well worth watching
Going in to this without any knowledge of the story was the right thing to do. It takes a lot of imagination to write a script for a movie like this with the budget of a high school theatre play. 8/10
You worked with the legendary Bruce Dern, who plays Mr. Snowcone. What was it like working with him? Did you learn anything from Dern about the craft of acting?
Lexy Kolker: Yes, Bruce is such a legendary actor and what I learned is that you can take freedoms and deviate from the script if it feels right. Bruce would have a general idea of the scene and come in and just have a conversation, so all of my scenes were really mostly improv. It was funny, the first day I would wait for him to say his lines so I could say mine, but he would always change it up, so I learned to just answer what came to mind and have a real conversation and I think it made our scenes very authentic and genuine.
I been waiting for this since I saw the trailer what feels like years ago. Thanks for uploading the links and to those that are commenting on it since thats what drew my attention to it.
Whew—-that was fun! That’s just screaming for a sequel or three. Move over Hitgirl!
An engaging Sci-fi supernatural thriller that is a combination of “Firestarter” with mutants, tinged with suggestions of “Brightburn”. Interestingly, in order to conceal the significant plot holes, this film is stylised to appear low budget, despite utilising well known actors like Emile Hirsch and Bruce Dern. It’s definitely a lot of fun and quite engaging. Freaks is worth staying with through its slowish start, as the overall entertainment factor is satisfying.
With a touch of “Push” and “Jumper,” to be sure… I agree.. very engaging and worth the watch!
… yet another film that should be in the featured section.
This was a quite unique “superhero” movie.
I liked the premise, but didn’t care for the characters, especially the girl.
I thought it was great! 4/5 for me.
I think it’s preety good the kid is a good actress Ithought you had to halve training and all, annyway it’s a darn good story put me in mind of aotheher story kid and her mom and dad hide in a basemint and when the come out they get killed I can’t remember the name of it anyway it’s good too.
loved it
Not really as great as people are saying. Over-hyped! I found it slow and a bit predictable in places.
Well, went and watched, like I said I would, and damn, let me tell you, the positive comments were all well deserved, and this deserves a higher rating to tell the truth! The actress that plays the little girl is excellent in this! Everybody did an excellent job, REAL acting was done here, was refreshing to see, and the ending was just excellent, hoping there will be more to follow!
Wow. Loved it. Unique story line that kept you guessing and excellent acting. Do yourself a favour. Thanks PW.
From the blurb for the flick, it didn’t seem all that good, but got a good rating, came down to see if there were any comments, and damn! Really rare to see all there really positive comments! Gonna watch this for sure, as any movie with a comment like ‘Move over Hitgirl’ has gotta be good!
Freakin freaky! Totally freakin worth watching two or three freakin times! Thanks uploaders!! 8/10
This was really quite good. I gave up the first time I watched it. It felt creepy with a weird guy in a van vibe that I didnt like at ALL. But, after understanding what it was all about (at about an hour in) it really started to shine & ended up being a darn good movie.
8/10
I really enjoyed this movie. Watched once and a second time with a Friend. hope they come out with a good sequel.
good concept but not a good movie
Great film well worth watching Again and again The girl Chloe (Lexy Kolker ) plays a brilliant part for someone so young she will go a long way in the future
3/5 okay, not great. But glad I watched
Pretty good. :)
