Atrocity Exhibition is a post 9/11 war-on-terror film. Working with real life, UN footage, sans verbal commentary or description, Atrocity Exhibition unravels a culture of impunity in a failed state, which upbraids the fundamental human, legal and, political principles in place since the 17th century. Atrocity Exhibition opens and end with mob lynching and vigilante justice directed at refugees with alleged connections with radical elements in Bangladesh. Unblinkingly the gaze of the camera sneaks upon one execution after another, in front of the media. The law, and all the identity of the victims become blurred. |
