An engaged American girl sets off on a road-trip to decipher her decision to get married in a few weeks by meeting up with a gruff, Canadian photographer whom she has never met in an unknown town to assist her in questioning standard notions of happiness. My films are about the complicated nature of human relationships in postmodern times. I seek to examine the self and society as an attempt to rethink standard assumptions. 14 Minutes reveals that happiness is personal and often not related to popular notions of happiness. Anybody who has questioned whether or not they are in the right relationship will relate to this film. |
