Patricia Castañeda (Hamy Tejada) comes from a wealthy family in the picturesque Guatemalan province of Zacapa. She’s madly in love with a cowboy, Emilio Aldana (Ricardo Godoy). Her father, Rafael (Gonzalo Estrada) who suffers from a gambling addiction, disapproves because Emilio is destitute. Rafael decides Patricia will marry a wealthy man from the capital even though she doesn’t love him. Meanwhile, Nicanor (Roberto Santandrea) tries to woo the Castañeda’s family maid, who innocently makes the road to love difficult for everyone. |
