Michael Armstrong, known also as ‘The Rose Man’ and ‘12 Stories’ has been a cultural icon in Halifax for over sixteen years. After suffering a severe injury when he was a young adult, leaving him disabled, Michael had to learn how to walk and talk again. After his recovery, with employment prospects looking dim, he became an entrepreneur. Tirelessly walking up and down the streets of Halifax, day after day, Michael became a rose vendor and a permanent fixture in the city. This is Micheal’s story from the man himself. |
