Blind Sight (working title) is a short-film adaptation of William Shakespeare’s King Lear and follows the drama played out between Cornwall, Regan, Gloucester, Edmund and Scillius (Servant). The decadent Cornwall and sultry Regan are informed by Edmund that Gloucester (Edmund’s father) has betrayed them to the powers of France. The vicious henchmen Gold and Silver, on Cornwall’s orders have Gloucester captured, beaten and questioned. During this bloody and gruesome interrogation Cornwall removes Gloucester’s eyes. Shalazar the Slave Master spices the drama up, together with the loyal servant Tamarys. Scillius stands up for Gloucester and attacks Cornwall, which prompts Regan to prove her loyalty and butcher Scillius. Gloucester is thrown out, eyeless, to make his sorry way to Dover! During the drama, the notorious Mr. Black provides WWE style commentary, adding to the suspense and thrill of the ride! |
