After financier, Robert Green, is convicted of fraud for operating one of the largest Ponzi schemes in Canada, he commits suicide, leaving his 20-year-old son, Dereck, and wife, Esther, behind. Deeply troubled and confused, Dereck turns to alcohol and violence.
