Michael Azimov, is a family man, just moved to Los Angeles, but slowly slips into isolation and violent misanthropy. His endless psychedelic world idealizations are fed by watching of breaking news, reading newspapers and listening to radio. He grows increasingly disgusted with low-lifes; murderers, thieves and people who are scum. His constant and almost obsessive thoughts, reflect the corruption of life around him, as he becomes exorbitantly disturbed over his own alienation. He remains a complete outsider, failing to make emotional contact even with his family and his friend who attempts to help him the best he can. As a result, one night Michael faces a real trouble which nearly kills him. Weeks pass, as he begins to desperately search for an escape from his depressing existence and having destructive thoughts that completely isolate himself from his wife and son. His wife desperately tries to help him, but after many attempts, gives up and leaves him. He tries different approaches to get himself out of the situation. Driven to the edge of powerlessness, his vengeful thoughts lead him to take law into his own hands. Many years later, standing alone on a street, he regretfully wishes he could go back and start his life all over again… |
