This short film documents the rare sighting of a creature known as Sirena, who lives in Florida springs. Here at Gilchrist Blue springs, we see glimpses of her bowling, with a turtle friend, and finally offering flowers to the springs. The total whimsy, delight and fantasy of the fable of Sirena belies the precarious state and the threats of the health of the magical springs and waters of Florida. Margaret Ross Tolbert, Tom Morris and Jarrod Ryhal collaborated to create this short experimental film, with music from Alexandru David. |
