Charles Blair Macdonald is the Father of Golf Course Architecture in America. He built the first 18-hole golf course in the US and was an original founder of the United States Golf Association. A century after Macdonald completed his masterpiece, The National Golf Links of America, we embark on a journey with Tom Doak, Jim Urbina and Mike Keiser - three of the leading figures in golf course design today - as they travel to Scotland, The National Golf Links of America in New York, and back to their piece of land on the southern coast of Oregon bringing C.B. Macdonald’s design principals to the public for the first time. Watch them as they go on a ‘Journey to Golf’s Past: Creating Old Macdonald.’ |
