Inspired by true events, ‘Absolution’ takes place in a Georgia state prison in 1952. When inmate Peter Lieb attempts suicide two days before his scheduled execution, prison doctor Thomas Gelson is forced to save his life. Although he is initially conflicted about treating Peter, Thomas soon suspects that there is more to this gruff prisoner than meets the eye. |
