Flow is a short documentary on the vinyasa yoga communities of Toronto and Los Angeles. Yoga practitioners share their intimate stories about the impact that the practice has had on their lives, well-being, and ability to heal. The film also touches on the issue of “yoga addiction” and the drug-like dependency that can sometimes manifest when one engages in a regular practice. These stories are layered over a vigorous single-shot vinyasa flow sequenced and performed by the filmmaker herself and, of course, a breath track because, after all, “everything is optional except the breath”. |
