In 1963, San Francisco: An African American woman (20s) visits the grieving, though well-to-do Italian step mom whom she never met just after her estranged father jumped off the Golden Gate Bridge. Fredericka must face this woman, who is grieving and misses her husband desperately. Between Fredericka’s needing to know who her father was and why he left, and the widow needing to bring him back — they both manage find the ‘Fred’ they are looking for. |
